Podcasts on Biblical Divorce in Sexless Marriages

by Patsy Rae Dawson ~

In both the Old and New Testaments, the Bible addresses divorce in the case of sexless marriages. The Jews didn't have problems with divorcing like we do. They called a sexless spouse who refused to change "rebellious." Likewise, first-century Christians didn't share our modern hangups about divorce.

If Christians knew the right to divorce a sexless spouse was in the Old Testament and repeated in the New Testament, it would exert tremendous peer-pressure on sexless spouses to deal with being unable to love their mate intellectually, emotionally, and sexually.

Clear teaching on divorce empowers loving spouses to bring the problem out into the open without personal shame. They could then insist that the game playing stop and real changes from the heart take place.

The following podcasts build on each other and climax with the article "Your Marriage Vows Imply the Right to Divorce a Sexless Spouse."
